False floor firing down?

So just looking for others opinions on this. Looking at a possible build where the subs are firing down from the false floor and the ports firing up, slot port. Anyone done this and am I going to get shitty sound? Should the ports fire another way? Again its a false floor, but the ports could fire under the 3rd row and not be blocked. I want to keep the rear usable so thats why the subs will fire down.

firing down into what??? false floor covering what??? Is this car a convertable? you should post pics of the whole car and the trunk and passenger area.

Its for my Enclave, SUV. It is replacing a storage compartment and rear panel that is in the back of my E. They would be removing the factory sound deadener and the subs would be firing down into nothing really. I'd have the Audio Techinx where the factory SD was. Basically the subs firing into the Audio Techinx.

Here is what I can get right now, not mine but exactly the same. Disregard the tire. All the plastic molding, compartment and panels would be replaced.

One without the tire, but the side panel come up with the large middle panel.

a false floor by itself doesn't make an enclosure. you get adequate seals and vented enclosures need airtight seals (except for the vent of course). are you trying to build a bandpass box or just a vented box? how about a sketch of what you have planned. drawing your enclosure first can hash out issues.

step one is a sketch (or collecting underpants)...
