BUCK FAMA
OK... I went home Friday night to see some of my friends and go on the annual opening-day deerhunt with my dad and our crew.. Was planning on coming back to my college town (1hour 15 minute drive) Saturday evening.. Well I saw my ex that I still have feelings for and we decided to hang out once she got off work.. I was planning on leaving about 12 so I could get home in time and get some sleep to hunt in the morning.. Well I ended up not leaving her till 1:15... She begged me to stay and was afraid Id fall asleep on the way home or something.. But my dumbass really wanted to go hunting so I told her no..
Well the 1 hour and 15 minute drive wasnt toobad.. Kept my system up loud and drank some Starbucks Espresso from the gas station. .Got home at 2:30 and took my friends advice and decided to stay awake rather than go asleep.. I dozed off a few times but never really went to sleep.. Bout 4:45 got my hunting clothes on and loaded my Blazer..
Its a 12 minute drive to where I hunt.. Made it fine on the 4-lane and everything.. Was drinking me some coffee.. Get to the gravel road and I realized that I had dozed off.. It kinda scared me, but I was like "you puss, be a man".. Well when I was about 150 yards from the gated road I was going to walk down I dozed off again.. Next thing I know ... WHAM WHAMP WHOOOOOOOOOMP..
I ran off the fkn gravel road into a big *** mudhole/ditch.. My blazer was tilted at a 55degree angle or so with the drivers side againts the side of the ditch.. My coffee went all over me, shit everywhere.. But i realized my system was still playing so that was good.. I cilimb out the passenger door and realized I'm ****ed.. Didn't look like much damage but mud was all the way up to my fender wells..
Called my bro and he was pissed cause he had to miss a morning hunt.. Got in touch with a wrecker.. Ended up costing me $76 to get it pulled out.. Dam wrecker had trouble getting it out.. Took an hour...
My bumper was fudged up, but I popped it back out.. Fog lights aint exactly straight.. Some scrapes/ dent at the very lowest body part on the drivers side.. Not too bad damage.. I was lucky.. Damage is barely noticeable..
I'm just thankful I didnt run into a tree... I learned a lesson though, thats for sure.. That was the most scared I have been in as long as I can remember.. My first accident ever.. I still get shaken up thinking about it..
I have thanked God like 20 times already today, becuase it could have been so much worse...
