in any state you can be charged with identity theft if it belongs to someone else, in a lot of states its a felony not yet in michigan but they will be making it a felony within 2 years. they arent very likely to bring the hammer down on it if youre pretty straight up about it but jail time is very common for that in most states including yours.

ha its not for identity theft it has my picture and my real name on it and everything just a different birthday state city and zip code

the penalties are endless because if you have a fake id, you can go out and buy brew which can lead to drunk driving and killing people, possibly purchasing a firearm...etc.

In short, get rid of it prior to causing yourself problems. No good will come of you having one. If your age is a problem then perhaps finding new things to do rather then trying to find ways around legalities is the best option.

In the liquor store here they have that law posted, i believe it said $5000 fine and a year in jail here...
