Is it possible to use an amp to power just some 6x9s in the trunk with just a factory radio in the dash? i mean i wouldnt think that factory radio would have a pre amp output so how does that work? what would i have to do?

you'll need a line output converter which will splice into the existing speaker wires and convert the signal to a rca output...good luck

Also u more than likely would need to oput a switch on ur power wire to turn the amp on and off cause otherwise its on 24/7
