Well plans have changed im trying to get everything sold to fund my new build in a couple months. I had a pair of the 2200's and sold one earlier this week, comes with remote and cable. I bought the mayhem from Brian Owens last year and its still in mint condition. Alpine is in pretty good condition too, comes with ipod cable, remote, trim ring and harness.

Anyone that doesn't know about the mayhems, they are as good or better than the Btl's. I've had it on a few different 2k+ amps and didn't break a sweat. Also if anyone local is interested I will include the box with it for free. 36wx16hx21d tuned to 34hz

I'm interested in the AA Mayhem 15, but do not know much about it...still trying to do some research... Anyone know how good this sub is, and can I run it with an Audioque 1200d or Sun Down 1200d?

I would get the AQ 2200, thats what I was running it on and it sounded nice. This is from their website...

The Mayhem Series of subwoofer utilizes many technological advances to create the toughest daily driving sub on the market. Our engineers have spent hundreds of hours analyzing the various failure modes of other drivers and producing new technologies and solutions to prevent these problems. Starting with our patent pending Helicool motor system, air is forced through axial cooling channels each time the cone moves. This positive displacement of air over the coil means increased thermal capacity and power handling. Using our proprietary suspension assembly techniques, we laminate multiple progressive spiders together for exceptional durability. Our specially formulated adhesives and adhesive agents have been specifically designed to handle high heat and mechanical stresses of 2500+Watts of power. The 30mm of Xmax ensures extreme linear ability and monsterous deep bass while the high motor force ensures plenty of skull cracking upper bass as well.

The Mayhem Series is the ultimate in bass performance.

•Brutal Streetbasser

•12", 15" and 18" Dual 2 Ohm models.

•Triple stack FEA optimized motor

•3" 4 layer aluminum coil

•Triple layer reinforced collar

•Five progressive spiders

•Ultra rigid reinforced cone body

•Hybrid foam surround

•Cast Alluminum basket

•Wrap round rubber gasket

•Silver 8AWG Push terminals

•2500W RMS

I can only afford the 1200d. I think the Sun Down will push a little more power, would it do this sub justice? What would be the perfect size box? sealed or ported? tuned to? How much to ship your box?

well im not shipping the box lol, even if you paid me i wouldn't. It weighs probably 80 lbs.

sealed isn't even an option, might as well get a cheaper sub. it would sound ok off the sundown, i would say anywhere from 3.5-4.5 cubes ported tuned to 32-40 hz depends on your preference
