i have an EA alt..mine took a crap BUT my i forgot to charge my 12v batteries so it was my fault..

Also to add my EA alt pwns my iraggi alt..

thats weird..thats high voltage for an alternator to just take a dump..do your car leak oil any?

where do u seen 4000 on 1 battery?

i was making a point it can be 2 batts then , i use 1 batt in my set up , if i bump to hard to long to were the battery reserve is gone and then im just beating the alt it will take a shit.

naw no leaks. i wanst even on it. going to my buddies, stereo pretty much off, checked the voltage guage up around 14.3. comin home fliped the guage on to check it again and it was at 12.5 ding batt light pops on

also alts have 3 diodes in it, if you ever have a short to ground you burn 1 maybe 2 of them out there for no voltage and no out put,, i also had that wen my crx short circuit with my kinetik 2400, burnt the alt and melted the dam bolts that hold the valve cover on, right off

i aint had a bit of trouble with my EA alt 14.85 at idle no stereo . 13.20 with stearo on at 20 and thats running 2 amps driveling lights and head lights.

Sorry about your bad luck with EA. Mine has been going strong for 3+ years.

Mean Green sucks, stay away from them. Mechman is sketchy at best IMO as a fellow Team DOA member has bought 2 of them for different vehicles and he's 0-2 so far...
