extreme dynamat vs raamat

ok i am not wanting to talk about price difference here i want to talk about qualityhow much better is it from raamat? and why do audio sales ppl say extreme dynamat is better?
audio sells people say that because that is what they carry. Dynamat is sold by many retailers and in the most common stores. They have never heard of second skin/raamatt and only have thier heads up thier ***.

Ummmmm I've tried almost everything on the market and Dynamat Extreme and Stinger Roadkill were the best that I could find. Cactus Sounds db blue was far better but not many people look for spray-on or pastes like that and it's more expensive.

If it helps any I deadened my car with 200 sq feet of deadner with closed cell foam aswell. . .. all second skin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I can get pics for you however the link in my sig no longer is there with pics.

There is no difference. I prefer RAAMmat.

Its all about advertising and what dealers carry. Its the marketing and the all mighty dollar. I am not knocking Dynamat Extreme it is a good product. I would just rather spend my money else where.

Personally ive used both, while raammat is a great product extreme yielded better results with just one layer of application. NOw that is not saying you could not achieve the same results by using 2 layers of raammat, it could be even better.

The big kicker is extreme bought at a shop normally is about $7 a sq foot, so even if a single layer application did better than a single raammat you could have got 3 times the amount of product you just have to do more work to apply the more material.

I used extreme last couple of cars. It worked perfect no complaints but I got a deal. There are many opinions on this subject and what works best. There is a lot of different products and a lot of good ones available. If people to try to list them all some would still be missed.

californiabOY5-Use whatever you like. If it is secondskin then great, its a good product.

I dont think there is any doubt that secondskin's damplifier pro is the best performing mat on the market today. But, its not the best bang for your buck. That's what I generally chose to use, but if/when budget becomes a concern Id turn to RAAMAT.

I have previously used several other spray-on/trowel-on deadeners like Stinger roadkill, RF noisekiller. Up to this point, RF's has been my fav, but way too expensive. I have a couple gallons of SS spectrum V2 sitting around here Ive yet to use, but I have high expectations.

When I really want to mass load, I have a concrete mix I like to use.

Closed cell foam and carpet backing work well for blocking/absorbing unwanted noises.

Fiberglass placed strategically is a low-weight way to stiffen large panels (like a roof).

Closed cell expanding foam works for both stiffening and sound absorbtion.

The key to good sound deadening is understanding your goals, and how to meet them, and applying the proper materials and techniques. Not using a mass loader to try to block road noise, for example.

i decided on raammat after reading the reviews and looking at my budget. and i couldnt be happier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

which is why you're biased and your opinion is not to be considered.

Out of the 2 vibration mats listed, Dynamat Extreme is a far superior product. FAR.

Rammat Bxt is very good however. For the price it is hard to beat.

Somthing to keep in mind is that DE is developed for th automotive industry. Designed with vibration reduction in mind. Specificly formulated to reduce the widest range of automotive vibration (frequencies) possible within the limits of the material. Rammat is not. It is not developed by a company with the intention of reducing automotive vibrations. It works, and it works well for the price, but lb for lb Dynamat extreme is a better product.

Out of those 2 products, if you want the best, go with the Dynamat.

IF you want good results and want to save some money. Rammat BXT all the way.
