Extending Interconnects..

Is there a preferred method to extend the interconnects ?

Moving the amplifier to the very back of the van (easier to adjust) along with its own battery/isolator so i need to add at least 6 ft to the cable, i know it will require couplers and i should probably tape it up so it doesn't come loose but am i missing anything ?

for RCAs, use female to male adapters to extend it. For speaker/remote wire, use butt crimp connectors
