Extended cab or Super cab - which is better for CA?

I am considering buying a new ford F-150. I am trying to decide which one I want.

If it was up to you would you rather have an extended cab or supercrew (full 4 doors) to put a system in?

I have no problem turning the car into a 2 or 3 seater with the subs taking up the space where the back seats were. I just have never owned or put a system in a pickup and would appreciate yall's insight.

Is the extra space worth it? Do most people end up removing the back seats? Is it a big deal?

The difference in cost of the truck does not matter that much to me. What would matter are things like the difficulties or increased cost of removing the back seats. I assume it would be harder in a supercrew as they are real full-sized seats.

I am leaning towards the super crew as it has more room overall and looks better aesthetically from the outside. As far was what I would install... not sure yet but something along the lines of two 12's or one 15. No wall or anything like that.

both have limited space as most know, but if the supercrew has a 60/40 split u could just use some of the space for the sub and the rest for the seat.

either way, if it was me, i'd go with the supercrew b/c i agree w/ u how its aesthetically pleasing/roomier in general etc. etc.

Neither are exactly easy to get loud in.
Really? I have heard some impressive setups in extended cab trucks. Usually one woofer setups and impressive meaning - "**** that is loud for one sub".

I thought it would be easier to get loud in a truck.

What is easy to get loud in?

I have seen a couple 155db+ setups in ext cab trucks.Im currnetly working for breaking 150
Without using a wall?

I guess it does not really matter. If I get to 145+ I am sure I will be happy. I just thought it would be a more efficient setup than the trunk car I am used to. Getting the job done with less power/woofer.

Yes the couple trucks I saw had a box basically like mine, but just a lil taller. It was loud

any truck. Tons of energy is lost from the back glass and wall flexing. If you can brace that and deaden the hell out of it trucks are ideal becaus of the small volume to pressurize and small stiff panels to conserve lost energy. The only other thing holding trucks back is the seats being in the direct path between the driver/port and the mic.

When you can hit 153+dB in an extended cab truck with street A restrictions I will retract my statment. Untill then...
It seems it also depends on what any particular person's definition of loud is. 153 in street A is most definitely loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
