ext cab truck firing subs....?

ive always had my subs either facing toward the headrest (windsheild) or up, ive heard up will get louder, is that true with ext. cab trucks or? its not that easy to flip my box i can do it and it will work, but i dont wanna keep fliping the box back and forth....some sugg. and i dont have a TL and nor is there one local or i would have been there done that already... here a pix of my setup...

i got an extended cab truck and i have subs up and port to the side and they get loud

Down Firing or to the rear sounds best IMO!

I like port up subs up with about 10" between box and roof. But, thats just me.

my 99 tacoma did the same score firing up and forward. both subs and ports on the same plane.
