there are way to many options for stereos for the exlorer!!

i cant seem to find accurate info about it but..

i have a 2000 explorer xlt and i cant find a harness adapter for it to use my aftermarket head unit

it has 2 plugs plus the antenna on the back and i have been told the 2nd plug does nothing and have been told it goes to an internal amp etc. so can i just cut the speaker wires going to the amp and tape the wires to bypass it since my aftermarket has amp? eventually ill be installing my own 4 channel amp so no need for the internal amp. can anyone shed some light on finding a harness for my truck!?

Yeah you will not need the 2 plugs...just one. I found my harness at best buy...but mine is a 1999 exploder.
yeah should be the same... i bought mine at great ol wally world lol.. but it only has one plug so i dont want to open it and have it not work :/
