Explorer Flexin Roofs:(

Well guy's i got a 93 explorer i had 1800 in power to my hdc3 18" before was flexn roof so now going to 3000 in power i know that flexn of roof gonna be worse. I know that sound deadner will kinda help but not all that great. Because explorers are known for a poor roof construction itself. Orignally i wanted to make a brace welded across roof or some type of welded support. But another member had told me i should because that will putting me into an extreme class. So Besides deadner anyone got any suggestions or secret's they seen done or used for explorers?

maybe u should rip ur headliner off weld braces and put ur head liner back on so no one knows...

Drop headliner, spray expanding foam between the roof and roof supports. Also apply deadener while you have the liner down.

If you use some quality sound dampening you can stop most of your flexing.
