ok lets say i want to build a box 3.5 cubes sq whats the differnce between that one and one thats 4 cubes sq and then say its at 32hz whats the differance from one thats 38hz im building a box for 1 type r 12 and putting 900-1000 watts rms to it.my trunk space is 36 inches wheel well 2 wheel well its 19 inches high and 40 inches deep.i was looking at moe lesters box plans thread and was thinking about going with 3.5@32hz or 4.0 @35hz i just wanted to know the differance between the two or if someone had a better idea! thanks

generally, higher tuning is louder but sounds worse, and lower tuning isnt as loud and has better sound quality. and for that type r i would go 2.5 cubes tuned to 32-36hz.
