Alright, i have had my type r's for over 8 months and i think it is time for a change. I have a sealed enclosure (1.5 cubic feet) , as you may already know. I am thinking about selling my alpine type r's and buying a single type x for now and upgrading to 2 alpine type x's by christmas. I am wondering if it would be worth it, how much bass i would lose and how much better the type x will sound since it is an SQ driver? I am not looking for stupid loud bass, just something that sounds good.

If you have had experience with both type r's and type x's please let me know more cuz i gotta get something new, the type r's are just getting boring now.

I wouldn't go with the Type X... If you are bored with the Type R's move away from alpine. The Type X's aren't that much better in SQ than the Rs and will lack output with that amp pushing them in a sealed box.
