excessive amperage alts??

does anybody use these alts? i'm kinda leery because he only offers a 3 month warranty on them but he has a sale on gm alts and i can get one for $270 shipped and i need a 200 amp alt bad so should i go ahead and get one? i e-mailed dom like 3 days ago and haven't heard back from him so i assuming he doesn't want to sell me an alt. anybody run excessiveamperage were they any good?

i wanted to buy an alt from dom but he doesn't reply to me so i have to look elsewhere for an alt and i don't know who else to go to for an alt.

I just got him in the mail a yesterday. I ordered it last thursday. Came pretty quick. Haven't had time to install it yet. He's probly fairly busy because he builds them to order.

i don't like to do business with people who don't respond promptly to customers because it gives me the feeling they don't want my business and they are unreliable. is his e-mail dominick@tds.net? i guess i can send him another e-mail.

Well, i'd go with the exceesiveamperage alt. from Nate. Great quality, and shouldn't have anything to worry about. Talk to Loyd, pretty sure he has had his for over 3 months with no problems...and he HAS had problem with past alts. from like alterstart or some bullshit like that. You should not have anything to worry about...just go with the deal. peace

i saw in your sig you have a mean-green alt. how is that one treating you? still no answer from dom. i need an alt bad because my stock one is ready to crap out on me and i can't listen to my subs untill i get one. this is a lot of money i'm gonna spend it's the most expensive part of my system and i want to get something that will be good and last awhile but i need it now and can't keep waiting on dom.

Well, i have had NO problems with the mean-green alternator. http://www.mean-green.com is the site...2 year 300,000 mile warranty. Have to e-mail for the price, best place to get it is a distributor in northern ohio. peace

well i think i'm gonna go with excessiveamperage since dom don't wanna sell me one i guess. e-mailed him twice in the past 3-4 days i found his number on sounddomain and called him no answer. i hope this alt doesn't **** up after 90 days. is a 200 amp big enough for a pg tantrum 1200.1 and us acoustics 4065? it will be going in a 93 grand prix.

yeah, 200 amp will be plenty. I'm especially interested since Nate sez he uses underdrive pulleys...to deliver a minimum of 200 amps after 900 rpms. peace

well i ended up calling mean-green and told them about excessiveamperage so they said they will call me back with a price and when he did he said $300 plus shipping so i figured i would pay $30 more for a 2 year warranty so i ended up with mean-green
