you should get the 08 STI Hatchback, it's got a near 50/50 weigh distribution. it's sexy, trust me.

I have an 04 Evo, and I test drove the WRX, STi, and the Evo before I made my final decision... I felt that the build quality was higher on the Evo versus the Scoobs... For instance, when you shut the doors on the Subarus, it is really tinny, and not positive feeling, but on the Evo it feels like you're working a cadillac door... Huge difference in feel. The STi is faster out of the box, and the six speed is cool, but a couple hundred dollars spent on the Evo will lay the samckdown on the STi, and you'll have a nicer quality car to boot.

I am personally a big fan of the Evo looks wise, i mean they are sexy, but when it comes down to it, the Subaru is just a better car.

Now we can sit here all day and debate, your prolly not going to get any farther than you were when you asked the question, but if you want to, you could always do a little searching and find reviews...Theres a reason I chose STI over Evo for the wife..

They're both good cars. As far as the last gen cars go, i prefer the STI. I like the new Evo better though from a looks standpoint. Have no Performance info on them yet. Either way you're going to be spending a lot of money on tires, clutches, gas, maintenance, etc.
