I'm slightly disappointed in the Sub. I mean it knocks but I was expecting a lot more head pounding bass. You think it could be because I didn't install my HO alternator yet? You think that will help significantly. I didn't test it but I'm sure I have voltage drops when the bass hits. Lights dim ofcourse. Should i be disappointed yet or is it too early to tell.

once you get the HO alternator you will have an increase of voltage and you will have more power provided to your amp. so when you get your HO alt hooked up you should get a bit more power and a bit more boom for your buck

I been hearing alot of complaints about the RE's not preforming out of the box. Relax, they have a very stiff spider that takes some time to soften up (like a new pair of jeans) some subs have a very pliable spider and sound good from the get go, but subs like the RE have a very strong and thick spider that needs to soften up before the sub plays like it should.

I had the same problem with my Eclipses (poor sensitivity and lack of low end responce), it took 3months for the spiders to soften up for me, but after they did they sounded better then any sub I've ever owned.

If you want to speed up the process, take the sub/s and bring inside your house.

Run a 20hz tone though them with no enclosure. you don't need alot of power to do this, just enough to get the cone moving close to Xmax (under 20watts is all you should need to do it). Let them play like this for about 12 hours and the spider should be alot more pliable.

Ha, I actually was a member of acurazine but got kicked off...LOL. The owner is an A hole. I'm usually on acuraworld.com.

Door panels came off pretty easy just take out all the screws.
