i posted a want ad on myspace for a 4channel amp on my school forum and said

"looking for a 4 channel amp. something good none of that sony xplod bullshit or other crap i could buy at walmart."

some kid msg's me saying this shit

"for ur information, the new sony explod amps out right now are better than any other amp at its price

i got a 1200 watt sony explod amp right now hooked to 2 12" alpine type R (swr), and they pound

the amp pushes 450 watts rms to each sub (900 watts total) and it isn't even at its max, nor are the subs...

oh and i got the amp from best buy, althought i saw em at meijers for the same price... "

so everyone flame why it sucks ill send it to him

omg....just because sony is good @ making other electronix like tv's and playstation and other b.s. like that, some people think that all of their products are GOD! Sony lacks REAL REAL hard in the "car audio business"! their ca products are krap.....the way i see it, is basically...almost EVERYTHING mainstream, except for kicker and some of MTX, IS PURE TRASH!

from my experiance is the only real thing wrong with the xplode amps is reliability.

the new ones are cea compliant, so they really put out what they say. i would just worry about the amp going out on you. i have seen at least 20 or so sony amps just quit after a year or so, for no apparent reason. not ran hard, clipped, or anything, just all of a sudden dont turn on.
