I like to use my PC without it constantly crashing.

That's why I haven't spent the money to upgrade this ole dinosaur I'm on now! It's pretty much bulletproof.

I'm on a 7-years-old install of 98se...2 of those years this PC was sitting in storage.

No problems here. I don't use IE anymore, though...

wow, 7 years old? that thing must be serving you well if you can use it that long

edit: i hope i dont have to buy a new computer every other year though...but the way technology is advancing, i might have to when i get out of college

what browser do you use now? firefox? i tried it, but ie was much faster, even after the speeds tweaks so i git rid of it. i did like the password save feature, and all of a sudden there were no page errors, but it was so slow.

I use FireFox and have never noticed any speed issues as compared to IE.

Because I'm using 98se I'm not using the most current version of FF since they discontinued support for 98 about the same time MS did but such is life...
