I'd disagree, as a competant person/ buyer, I would never judge your selling practices on a red dot that I have no idea what it is based on. I would search your name through the feedback forum, aswell as looking for references in your sig and checking it out with them.

Well hate to break it to you but that is just you and some others, I actualy was looking into buying something and the person didnt have much feedback but seen my rep points and didnt want to deal with me.

But I wanted them to ship first with only showing me 1 poss feedback but still the rep system they didnt like.

Shit i could scam you and then come back 4 months later with no one remembering me, but if the dot was red O SHIT!!This dude is sketchy. You right i should of realized that with all the immaturity and BS that is on this forum, the rep system would have been abused like it already has. I mean look how mature we all are! well if you ***'s didnt screw the system up maybe it could of been a reputable system. I can see if we actually got the 18+ section, that shit woulda been gone in like the first 20 minutes somehow or somehow screwed up.

Thats how I feel about it that it shouldnt be judged like that but there are a select few and I managed to find one lol.

I would say I am one of the highest people delt with on here for refs with never a problem. But that set me off the other week when I mentioned about them shipping first about lack of refs and they questioned my refs and said I had alot of red points.

1)If the persons new they may not know, and may think that the rep system is there for the EXACT reason its supposed to be there.... to let people see what the person is really rated to.

2) There is a couple forums that I do know/frequantly go to that the rep system means EVERYTHING.

I personally know it means shit here... but not everyone may.

My arguement is that, if you are familiar with the rep system, judging a forum member for whatever reason by it is preposterous, thats just common sense. Anybody can give positive reps or negative reps in total anonymity for whatever reason they want. Hell, I could create 50 accounts and positively rep one of them hundreds of times and end up with amazing rep, then scam the hell out of YOU because you judge people by it. Be real, use your head, don't be an idiot- thats all you have to do to not get scammed. And you'll be a better person for it. If you can't understand why the rep system is only good for shits and giggles, I don't know what more to say, I think I've demostrated how it is.

Doubt it, first of all, there is no easy way to enforce an 18+ section, and if there were, that in no way would improve the rep system.

You have a point with new people, but it shouldnt be too hard to explain the system to them and how it means nothing to selling/buying. Refs mean everything in transactions, that and REAL (read: not anonymous) feedback.

I also visit other forums with the rep system and it never means anything besides bragging rights and e-penises, kind of like post count. I cant fathom how an anonymous feedback system could ever function in a legitimate way.

Advising to use http://www.heatware.com I think is better than any rep system. It's like ebay feedback. You can check and email all the references listed in their feedback if you don't know them.

ok let me put it this way. Last reply cause im done arguing. The system is there for shits and giggles cause the people on this forum made it into that.
