Well I bought a little Lcd ...... Anywho the Video output is a Ethernet Plug thingy. Anywho its really short so I bought an adaptor to Hook another Ethernet cord so it could reach my trunk. Thing is, Im not getting Video signal through that wire..... Is there different types of ethernet cables? Or Can all of them be used for video?

Not sure when it comes to car stuff, but with computers their are 2 different kinds, on connects a computer to a router, modem, etc. and the other kind directly connetcs 2 computers together without a router.

Edit: The first cable is called a "patch", this is just your standerd old network cable

The second is called a "crossover" they look i dentical but the wires are setup differently.

I would like to restate this is with computers so i dont know about cars video

I've never seen this used, but anyway it is very possible that the cable is proprietary and setup a non-standard way. Just because they use the RJ-45 plug and wire doesn't mean they sequence them the same as a network cable. You will need to consult the manufacturers support on it.
