Equipment Stolen at Doorstep?

If you live in a neighborhood that has a high crime rate, try to get Signature Confirmation. It costs a little more, but they have to deliver when someone is available to sign for the package. You can also have them deliver to the local UPS/Fedex center and pick up packages there.
I have had 2 customers on Ebay try to say the packages were stolen, but they even signed for the packages. Naturally Ebay denied their claims, especially since they signed for the package.
Had the same thing happen to me except I used USPS so all I had was a piece of paper with his signature on it (no online tracking) so he got the money and the goods.....yeah that was some BS

Order an Alpine PDX F4 the other day and Amazon is fulfilling it for a dealer online and they use some company called "Lasership" to ship it to me. Needless to say when I got home there was no package to be found. I live in a gated community and there were 2 other packages on my doorstep when I got home.. I told Amazon what happened and as soon as I mentioned Lasership they refunded me, no questions asked. Not even the usual "Check the garage".

one day I walk around the side of the house just in time to see UPS driving off. As I walked around the front of the house I looked into my open garage to see a box of speakers he placed behind my wife's car. She would have never seen it.

had a sub stolen while i lived in houston a few years ago. the one day my mom happened to be in town and we went to lunch with my wife. came home and there was no package (usps always delivered around 12). tracking said it was delivered. regular mail man was off that day and the replacement driver swears he left it on my porch. they arent supposed to unless it will be hidden but he did anyway. wasn't insured so i was as$ed out.

I've never had a FedEx or ups guy knock to let me know it's there..
They always set the package down and leave. That's their job.
They always ring the doorbell when dropping off a package over here...its obviously a good idea because if its raining or something you can bring it in immediately.

ALL of your stories sound fu

ok just goggled Canada post and they will only leave it out side if I specifically ask them to do so.. and waive any claims such as damage or lost.. but why would you??

When I ship things to my business, it almost always arrives during business hours. If I happen to miss a package, UPS and Fedex will leave a slip stuck to the door to pick up at the local depot or schedule a delivery later that day. Fedex automatically re-delivers the same day.

When I ship to my home, they almost always leave the package on my doorstep. Fortunately I live in an area where people don't dare think about stealing from their neighbors. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif They do at least ring the doorbell.

I've had boxes from Amazon arrive opened because the tape machine didn't even hit both flaps on the box.....just taped across a half opened box!

Just this past xmas my mom ordered me a set of Dayton audio bookshelf speakers, lepai amp and Dayton powered sub... Well the delivery guy left it in our driveway in between our neighbors house, dad backs up and runs one over..it was two big boxes stuff came in, only one got damaged. the goods were fine but the box looked like it went through h e l l.. Lmao. But of all places why in the middle of the drive way???!!! Parents were both home, no knock or nothing. WTF
