Hi guys, this is my first post so thanks in advance for all your help!
Ok, Im new to the forum, but not to car audio. I know my way around. My current system includes two infinity reference 6012i door speakers, oem deck speakers (car is a 2010 mitsubishi galant), wally world soche power wires running to my alpine mrv-500 amp paired to my craigslist alpine 12in. Type s blue lable. Rest of the wiring is unknown in brand besides the kicker speaker wire. Head unit is an ooold sony explode cdx gt400.
I know my way around eq and have tried to the best of my ability to combat my problem but to no avail.
How can I prevent the awful, ear bleeding screeching from my speakers when Im playing... Say some tool at high volume? I have my high turned down as far as I can with out compromiseing quality, mids are right where they need to be, and my fade is set with a rear bias favoring the rear as it helped with the screeching. I can not afford new speakers, clearly, (although i know new ones of better quality would fix this) and cant afford an external high pass filter. Is there anything else i can do or have I covered everything?
