epicenter, yes or no?

the epicenter used midrange frequencies to determine what lower bass notes it adds into songs, so if you listen to a lot of music that doesnt have very much bass the epicenter will make it have bass, but if you listen to rap i wouldnt get one.

It will help out with bad recordings or rips by adding lower freqs based on the higher midbass and midrange freqs as mentioned above. If you mostly use CDs as your source material or you have carefully ripped MP3s your probably won't find a use for it. It will just overload the bottom end. It can be nice with FM radio though to add back the low frequency information lost in the FM transmission. If you have satellite radio, not needed.

One use that I know it would be great for is some of the oldies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Bumpin' to Frank Sinatra! lol

Epiceter is good for older tracks, sounds like crap on hip hop and rap though. Songs from the 70's and earlier really benefit from it though

Exactly right. It sounds great on stuff like some old metallica or other metal and oldie stuff, it also sounds great on some new rock to. It absolutly sucks when playing rap though. Its pretty much only meant for music that wasnt recorded with alot of bass, and since rap has a buttload, it will sound like azz. Having the volt meter and spl meter right there in-dash really comes in handy.

false, it does not sound like crap on rap. in my setup, the epic is a beast. if setup properly within the system, the epic can sound good on any song. i love mine. sumthin that will always be apart of my setups. if ya subs can handle it and u kno wha u doin wit it, then it can be some good, but like alot of people i kno, they're setups have fallin victim to it
