epicenter/cross over

Epicenters Sound really low and will add bass to some songs that have little or any bass, with rap itll work good if you set it up right or else you can damage your speaker, i have always used epicenter since i started buildign systems years back, maybe is cuz im mexican and we listen to a kind of music that is called "Corridos" wich needs the epicenter to get the extra bump, but i only use it for that kind of musics not that much for rap as i could damage my sub.

I love me Epicenter. Been using one since 1992 and will never stop. It can make shit sound terrible or great depending on the song and how you have it set up.

I think it can do wonders to rock music where the bass is too low in volume or recorded crappy. I say give it a try. YOu can buy them used on eBay for $100 or less. If you don't like it, sell it back on eBay for the same price.

I think the Audio CONtrol unit is better than any of the others. I am a patent lawyer and their patent is pretty nice. All other companies were forced to find an inferior workaround for their units.

Epicenters are used to bring out the lows sometimes lost in the recording. I find it most useful with rap and r&b but some of my customers say it works well with country too. You'll still need a crossover by any means.

hey thanx for all the replys guys,i am lookin into the audio control one brand new on ebay for $120..so sounds like its something i could put use too since i listen to everything...
