Engine Noise Though Subs

I had a shitty setup in my commuter car, which blew up the other day. But while i'm in the process of finding a new setup I thought I myswell ask this question.

The subs in the car were constantly making noise. Even when the radio was completly turned off. You could hear the engine shifting sounds threw the subs.

Anyone know whats up with this?

I was thinking maybe its the ground?

Did it blow up because of the shitty ground? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
