solder wire to the rcas coming out of the HU. solder wire right to the shielding and then ground the wire

Seriously. You don't think I've tried before... when my old mtx 1501d had the RCA shielding loose on the RCA input... me and Scottie tried for like 30minutes.

Oh, and he's an hour away. So... I'll have to sit and wait.

the rca's ought to fit right over or on top of the wire. it won't fry anything because you're just reinforcing the grounds.

Just curious, has anyone had the RCA problem with a Sony head unit? I helped install this POS amp for my friend yesterday, with another of his friends too.. God that was annnoying.

But anyways.. he has a pretty strong whine. I had to go home, but I told him to check the ground.. It seemed to have been grounded pretty **** good though, but I guess not good enough.

Question.

Currently I have a streetwires grounding triangle.

I have that grounded to a spot in the car. From there i have 1/0ga wire going to a stingpro hpm distribution block. It has 5 possible connections. From there I run 4ga to my amps. the other connections will be used in the future.

Now I just purchases a kicker wiring kit. I'm thinking about running the hyperflex 1/0 as a ground wire and still using the distroblock.

See any issues with this? Everything would be grounded to one source as it is now. But no matter what I'll be having fairly long (2-4ft) Runs from amps to distro block.
