Ok this is what I will do to clean my car's engine.

Spray the engine with a degreser, and let it sit for 15 min, then rinse with water and let dry.

it's a little handheld steamer that is usually used for cleaning grills and other things (housewife types use it for cleaning showers and other useless stuff), but it cuts through brakedust and engine grime like a CHAMP.

Is it safe to wash my motor with a power wash? I have always heard it was unsafe because of all the electrical (fuel injected)

TAKE OUT YOUR SPARK PLUG WIRES AND MAKE SURE YOU COVER YOUR PLUG HOLES.

Bad, bad, horrible things can happen if you don't.

if you have an intercooler, don't think of putting any water source near it. not because the water will damage it, but any moderate pressure WILL bend the fins beyond recognition.
