Obviously you cant do whatever you want here. The rules in the dome are much more lax than the rest of the forum, but there are still some rules. Goob, the site owner, decided that no partial ****** is allowed, since at one point the t-dome become an almost-p0rn site. Human nature, one person starts a trend, and pretty soon a few people push the limits so far that something has to be done. I dont remember all the pics in the tattoo thread, but I do remember one o a woman pulling her underwear down very far. Im certainly no prude, but that clearly falls under the category of what Goob considers out of bounds. As for the yoga pants thread, I didn't see it.
Unfortunately, we mods have to make judgment calls here, almost daily. We do not intend to over-moderate, but we do have to walk the fine between over-modding, and letting things get out of control. If you dont like the line we feel we have to walk here, Im sorry for that, but as Ive said many times before, in my experience ca.com is one of the less moderated (large) car audio sites. We simply cant please everyone, and that's the bottom line.

you can whine all you want, but the site is bound by laws, really, not just goobs prerogative. i'm sure he could care less about, and even enjoy posted ******/partial in the dome, but allowing it puts him at a personal legal risk. fines get big. it really is sad, that a good thread like that gets going allong, and one guy has to push it to that point, screwing the rest of us. than again,m i cannot see why that post and any time it was quoted couldn't be deleted and keep the thread.....

Good uses google ads and adsense. Google monitors the sites for appropriate content. If the site is about car audio and people are posting inappropriate content, it meses with Google's algorithm and messes with Goobs pocketbook.

um, okay....... i don't live in the dome, so i haven't seen it happen all the time, which i'd expect by your explanation..... when i created my forum, i became bound by it's content. i.e. i can't allow pron to be accessable. believe it or not, the hosts can simply delete a whole site.

It's not that it's straight up ****...some is, but it isnt nor ever was (at least until 2009, I cannot comment 2009-2012). But the way I understood, the crackdown occured because of money, not a threat to delete the site.

deleting a site is last resort/rare, but it is possible for a violation. i've seen sites just vanish before. not saying that you are wrong, or that in know the motives, but i'm just pointing out what everyone seems to dismiss. being an owner, you are responsible, and take all the risk on your own. no different than you local tv/radio station. you can be fined. you also can receive site ratings for different reasons/content from different entities, and yes, that can and does effect income. it's just speculation, though, unless someone actually knows the facts of the situation, not just wom..

Bottom line, no income, no site. Hate Goob all you want, he doesn't run this site for charity. And yes, I have the moral right to make that comment, seeing as I participate in helping this site through no profit of my own. You want to look at women pulling their panties down, there are plenty of sites based on that. This is not one of those sites. If you have an issue with that, you are welcome to go find another car audio site that has as many car audio topics, and still manages to run in the black without relying on a basic advertising tool such as google ads. Sorry guys, just tired of the same old argument over 'why cant we see boobies'. You can, just open two tabs at once and go back and forth between them. You have no entitlement to see ***** pics wherever and whenever you want. You will not find porn plastered on the walls of your local B&M car audio store, quit demanding to have it here.
