I'm thinking about buying a ported box from craigslist, but it looks like the previous guy bolted his amp directly to the box. Is there a good way to go about sealing up the holes where the bolts were?
That's more like it, thanks. I was just wondering if there's some universal best way to plug holes in sub boxes. I didn't want to plug it with something and then find out it couldn't handle the pressure of the subs.lol if its big bolts just plug it with something and seal it with glue or caulk
Yeah I know they're not too much, but I don't know anybody who could build me one. I looked into building my own for a bit but it seems like a somewhat complicated thing. I might try it sometime in the future but for now I just thought I'd buy a kicker factory made box for $30 that's supposed to be already tuned for my subs. You do realize that a custom box on average is pretty inexpensive.
I've actually read that in other forums. So yours didn't really sound good? Would they sound noticeably better in a box built to kicker's specs?if its a kicker "factory" made box its not tuned to your subs trust me i had one i did the math its way to small and not enough port and tuned way to high
