They are virtually the same woofer. Both built by TC Sounds and both based off of the TC3HP. Minor differences between them.

Don't let the LA name fool you. It's right there with the Ti.

Hmmm cool i didnt know this i jumped to conclusions that LA=bad SQ eclipse=awesome SQ i knew both were loud though so anyway i voted for the La on price...if they are the same then get the LA cause of price let us know how it sounds.. srry for assuming

sorry if im thread jacking, but since they la storm is based off the tc3hp motor couldnt u send it back and get it made into a custom uber or an eclipse?

The first time I heard that Eclipse, I was shocked how low it was playing at medium volume...made the whole stereo shop shake. i made a thread about the storm awhile ago, and was told that it didnt have the linear displacement that the ti and other's had. but who know's it still looks like one hell of a sub!

That Storm will have the same displacement.

The newer Storm with the smaller surrounds actually have a displacement advantage over both the Ti and that LA Storm.

I think the comments in your thread were simply that neither of them had 3" p2p of linear displacement.
