EHQS 12's bottoming out, why?

I have 2 single 2 ohm EHQS subs wired parallel to a 1 ohm load to a Diamond D3 400.1. That would give each 200 RMS, which is what they are rated for, but on low and punch notes they bottom out. They are in 4 net cubes ported, which is what is recommended for these subs 2 net cubes per. Box is tuned to 37hz. What could be causing them to bottom out? Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix the problem would be appreciated. Also they are being ran in Scion TC off the factory Scion radio, which is speed sensitive, the more RPM's and MPH the louder the radio gets. While at idle the subs never bottom and will be hitting hard but if the car is moving even with the volume turned down and the subs not as loud they bottom. Any help is appreciated.

revrider I saw your vid of 2 EHQS 12's on you tube what size box were they in, what amp were you pushing them with and what was the box tuned to? And I know they are not true performers I am not looking for anyhting spectacular I run 2 HDC3 18's in my truck. This was my friends setup. I was thinking about getting them from her for HT use since she does not really want them because they are bottoming.

Will they still perform correctly after being bottomed frequently? If so then I will be using 2 12's in my HT setup on 125 watts a piece. How big should the box be and what should the tuning be for HT use?

I believe they have potential to be good for home theater use maybe but unless you have a lot of space to give up for a pair of 12's they are not too good for mobile installs because of them needed such large enclosures to perform. So what should I tune my box to 25hz or 30hz? And no on the subsonic filter I am going to be using a plate amp that does not have a ssf on it.
