wot wud happen if i was to put a set of pioneer 6x9 speakers on a home made mdf parcel shelf either side of a sony xplod xm754??? wud ther be interferirence? if not wot wud be the effects caused (if any)

and also is tehr any xchance if the amp gets hot that it may melt the carpetting? or shud i not carpet where the amp is going?

Amps will not melt carpeting. As far as the speakers go, you shouldn't get too much cancellation.
