Effects of cd player question

I have an atleast 4 year old clarion cd player in my car. i hooked up some mb quart qsc-216 with a zapco ref350 and its not as loud as my friends jl xr's with an mtx amp, simlilar wattage going to each. He has a new alpine 9853 head unit. i was wondering when i get my new head unit, pioneer deh-p880prs.....if it will help with the sq and loudness of my componets considerably
