Ok, well i just got a new alternator. Now i went to get my new deka Intimidator (that i bought new less that 3 months ago) tested at advance auto parts. Its supposed to be at 800 CCA and it only did 400 something. It didnt pass. We tryed it multiple times. And it would not pass. What could be the problem? The voltage sits at 12.9. This doesn't make any sense to me. Any help?

Could it be that im running with a stock battery without an Isolator? It should still be under warranty so i can prolly get a new one. But still, i dont wanna have the new one have problems. I just spent 175 on an alternator too.

the 2 different types will hurt the higher voltage one, and it looks like it did. get your warranty battery if you can and buy the same one to put up front or run an isolator. When you get the warranty battery its the best time to get a new one for up front then they will match.

K, well something is wrong. It can be the battery. Its something to do with the electrical i think. My car is only charging up to 12.4 volts. Unless i give it more gas it stays that low. But when the car is off. The voltage is higher. Like 12.8V. But it cant be the alternator because i just got a new one. I tried without the back battery and it still lowers with the car on. Both batteries sit at 12.8-12.9. So it makes no sense that they would drop to 12.4 with the car on.
