Educate me on horns

I was thinking about doing some loud highs in my truck, and I often see people running PA speakers. Then somebody usually jumps in the thread and says "If you want loud, run some horns, they get super loud on little power." Besides that, I rarely see them mentioned.

So, what are some good horns, how many watts to give them, and what drivers to complement the horns should I go with?

I have some Selenium ST350s. Plenty loud. Parts-Express.com has a nice selection of horns. How do those D250s compare to the ST350s?

They play pretty high. Im just putting mine on a switch so I can be loud when I want to.

One is a horn, one is a tweeter. The ST350s are my favorite tweeters.

No. Its not a tweeter. Think of it as something in between a mid and a tweeter.

Good sounding horns are not cheap...if you just want loud, then there's plenty of horns to suit your needs.
