Educate me on Credit Cards!!!

The funny thing to me is that Capital One gave me a $500 limit when everyone else was loading me up in the thousands. You got a good limit right off the get-go so good on you!
Rick

Yeah, I have my measly $1800 limit while a girl I know (in debt up to her ears no less) just received one with a $5K limit.

Then, I applied for another credit card through Chase, they sent me a letter along the lines of "We're sorry but you currently have the maximum amount of credit we can lend you".

The next week they upped my limit $500... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Yer an idiot.
NO credit card is 0% interest.
He may have a introductory 0% apr for like 6 or 12 months.

I have one with a 0% apr for 6 months and 4k limit.

yeah i signed up with bank of american no apr for 12 months.

but say after 12 months, i will get charged at the end of each billing cycle?

after your honeymoon/0% apr is over, you need to maintain a zero balance, else you will be charged interest(whatever apr% you have) over the whole leftover balance at each billing cycle.

Credit cards have a place, but usually dont get used in that manner. I owe alot of money on one right now, thank god its a buisness card and the interest is tax deductable. They build your credit if you use them sparingly and pay the bill on time! I need to say ON TIME again. I will get long winded on this subject. Im 39 and have a 790 credit score. It got that way by borrowing money and paying it off on time every month, never a late payment, period. Make shure you can make the payment even if you loose your job, get sick, etc. That means having around 6 months salary in the bank. If you cant do that, dont risk it.
