alright //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

how does it look? have you had it benched? does it get warm? what do you have it hooked up to? what ohm configuration? do you like its features? :p

considering i had a good deal to do with it, i like it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Got just about everything you'd need, you can stack it, you have a variable built in subsonic and a darn good crossover as well. current protection is good, amp will do WELL over 1200 watts at 14v+.

extremely ruggid casing, brushed alumn accents are a plus. Doesn't get a bit hot @ 1 ohm, run at 2, 4, and 1 ohm, never tried at 8ohm as of yet as it really isn't designed to tackle it.

I have heard a few diff release dates.. first it was at the end of this month. Then something about a preorder delay?

When will it be comming out?

D

From what I gather, March 10th is the end of the preorder, amps should be shipping slightly before or after that date.....hopefully sooner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ben, dimensions?

i noticeed it comes with 90 amps worth of onboard fusing..

that makes me wonder a tiny bit...

this amp must be one heck of an effiecient piece of machinery to manage over 1kw....

I know there was some discussions about this over at soundillusions, but i cant get onto that site, so i will ask here. Can i burp the amp at .5 ohms? Ive only tryed to bring my RE amp down that low once, and had the gains up a lil high, and didnt get it to work, and didnt even think about turning down my gains before i try it. I figure i will give these amps a shot and blow my tax $ on 1, maybe a pair of them. Hey even though im only 17, ya only get to live once, why pass up good opportunity's?!

p.s anyone lookin for a mint condition hcca 275g4? give me an e-mail at foxcrew15@aol.com

If your questioning the 30x30amp fuses, might want to check into some other amplifiers. That's plenty sufficient. For those people going down below 1ohm, check into putting 40 amp fuses if it makes ya feel better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Cost will be around 1 dollar, and won't make a bit of difference. The amplifier does well beyond the 1200 watt mark. There are a few 1500 watt amplifiers using 3x30 amp fusing, works fine for them. the trio is more than sufficient for the power the amplifier can produce.

As for half ohm stability. It can do it, but if it's too low, the impedance is dipping or you run it too long, it's a horrible idea. It's not recommended, and only there for extremely experience people to do. Never wire this amp for .5ohm for more than a few second burp. If it's longer, buh bye amp, and warranty goes too if it's smoked becuase it was just done due to user not knowing or understanding the equipments limitations.

The amp manages well over 1kw, and it does stay quite cool that's for sure. Pre order runs until march 10th, only a few limited folks will be recieving anything earlier.

Information is also located on the ED web site. For the price nothing comes close to the quality of circutry, casing, quality control, power, and warranty of the NINe.1. There literally at the price is zero competition for it when looking at the big picture becuase we didn't make sacrifices for price. The xovers are nice, the protection is nice, the casing is nice, the versatility is nice, the ease of settings are nice (they line up and you can actually set them and KNOW where your seeing your amplifier.) and the price is just that much better. It's kind of like getting a DEI 1100d for 240 with a 3 year warranty. Getting that price on one used with no packing and no warranty with a serial number scratched off isn't even a easy task sometimes.... Similar products cost dealers more to buy to resell to their customers for hundreds more....

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
