I ifandorbuts 10+ year member CarAudio.com Elite 1,000 0 phx Dec 19, 2002 #4 if you are in the cold weather, you MUST use a heat gun (or hair dryer) I live in PHX AZ which is hot as it gets. I still use a heat gun in the summer time to apply damp mat. remember too, prep the surface!!! I like paint thinner or acitone ANT

Wonderbread 5,000+ posts Against Avatar Theft 16,940 1 Vancouver BC Dec 19, 2002 #6 take a CLEAN lint-free cloth or rag, pour some acetone onto the rag, and rub the area thoroughly... dont worry about the moisture, it will evaporate in seconds....

I ifandorbuts 10+ year member CarAudio.com Elite 1,000 0 phx Dec 19, 2002 #8 acitone wont take off the paint. it would if the paint were still wet, or if you sat there rubbing it with a soaked rag for an hour. but for what you are doing it is perfect.. the thinner will dry ready fast. side note: keep heat gun AWAY from paint thinner!
