ok i just got my 60sq ft of edead in the mail. i need to know what spots i need to concentrat on, i already have dynamat on the doors, rear deck, and deck lid. should i just cover everthing evenly or is this wastfull should it just be on certain spots?? i will have a new brahma 15" in a rsd box front firing into the car with the trunk sealed off so im thinking i dotn need much in the trunk. it will be in a seled box pushed by a diesel audio nsh-2000d wich ill run at about 500rms normal and ill switch out boxes to a ported and turn it up to 1000rms for comps. so where should i put the edead??? thanks guys. btw this is for a 98 mustang.

uhm not sure if I read that correctly but you don't have it in the trunk? Then put it in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif and the trunk lid. You've already got your doors and deck...i'd go trunk before I went floor.

but the woofer wont be in the trunk im going to seal the trunk off from the car, so the sub will be in the cabin, front firing shouldnt i concentrate on the floor, front of the inner fender wells, and maybe roof??? instead of the trunk???

If your front doors are properly deadened, I would do one layer over the entire floor. Then tap around and add more in areas where needed. Be sure to get a layer on the rear doors aswell (if you have them). Then a few strips on the roof.

If you are doing with the subs what I think you are doing, you are going to need to deaden the hell out of the rear deck and behind/around the rear seats aswell.

don't worry about the trunk. I'd look into getting some dynamat extreme on the roof and the doors mostly. The roof will be your main concern because it'll flex everytime your bass hits, robbing you of power and volume //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

I am not too confident on eDead on the roof. The pics below were in the trunk lid of a late 90's corolla. As you can see, they aren't too pretty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i can always go back and get the v3 to do the roof with. shoudl i do every sq inch of the floor or is it just as good if i just do like the floor pans and large areas, then yea i plan to do the entire back seat area considering thats where the box will be, this isnt gonna be a all out comp car, i just want to get the most out of what ive got, why is 1000rms to a brahma 15" gonna be loud???....lol

I actually like the liquid stuff, and will use it to cover EVERYTHING in my truck. If you can afford to do it, go for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Honestly,im not too confident on SE upside down either, i have some and although its still on, its not sticking perfectly in all areas, so im sure thats not helping. But for floors or side panels, it does the job just fine.

i have used edead before and for the price im pleased, the roof im may have to go with the v3 a can of it is the same price of 60sqft of v1 ($70shipped) so its not too bad. I just want to make sure im using it to its most effeciency cause most money is going into equipment, after the brahma and 2000wamp, im also getting 5sets of componets, 2 4channel amps, 4 7" monitors, plus all the materials for box biulding, fiberglass work, and wiring.

I like the way the liquid stuff functions.....but I absolutely despise working with it...

If yuou are going the liquid route, I HIGHLY suggest using Second Skin Sludge. The stuff is THICK AS HELL, and can remain fully inverted in hige globs without falling down...seriously. It's actually on sale right now on their sit for a meager $29/gallon. PLUS, there's a GD going on. Sludge is intended for weird-*** deadening jobs such as this.
