ED vs. FI

I was thinking about getting a 13Av.2 or FI Q 15. I'm looking for SQ, and I want it to hit low. For example the lowest note in Put On. But I still want it to get loud. Mu guess is the FI will get louder but what kind of SQ does it deliver? (all in sealed box with 1200-1400w of power)

Or if you want, just put which sub you would pick.

If you've got the space available, Fi Q for sure. Same low end extension, but A LOT more efficient. The only downfall is it needs a box a little over 3 times the size of the eD sub.

sealed box is only about 2wice as big i believe.

To get the same sealed alignment it's over 3 times. For a .707 Qtc alignment, you're looking at ~1.2 ft^3 for the 13" eD vs. ~3.7 ft^3 for 15" Fi.
That doesn't mean you have to make the box that big for the Q, just doing an apples to apples comparison.

ok this is a biased review, since i have both, and love both.

the fi q is an amazing sub, i love it to death. i previously had a 13ov.2, love it too, but the FI Q dominated it. now the 13av.2 is another story, have not had one, but from what i heard, it hits the lows pretty well.

might meet up with a guy this weekend so we can compare, and i will post a review. but you cant go wrong with either way.

oh yeah, it dominates the lows, and pushes a lot of air. you can see in these vids i took. but you cant go wrong with either sub, mines is in a 2.5^3 @ 32hz crx style.

Ported... get the eD, you wont be dissapointed... its a monster

yeah, well ED amps are underrated, i am more than likely seeing at least 750rms, maybe more since my voltage stays high at full tilt.

but a 12" FI Q + 1200 RMS = happy person. and i get a lot of compliments, people think i have (2) 12's, (1) 15", (3) 10's, but to their surprise only a single 12" in a big *** box.

trust me, I recommend the FI Q, with a ED Nine.1, and a box just like mine.
