ED nine.1?

I read about these amps and checked out their website, but where on the ladder do these things rank. 1200 RMS at 1ohm for about $300 shipped, sounds like a great deal. Anyone have one, or heard one that can jump in here?

from what i know, they do at least rated power... most more.

i think they are rated at 12.5 v

I have always wondered how the SQ is on ED amps. I understand that they are made by Avionix, but is the SQ excellent or so so? I ask this because they don't have any THD ratings or S/N ratio ratings on their site. I've read mixed reviews on the SQ. I am trying to achieve top SQ on a small budget. If they sound good, then they are a perfect choice for me.

how come i can never find a really good deal on a nine.1 everytime they go up in the f/s threads they sell in like 30 mins. Anyone here interested in a group buy maybe?

If you want SQ, then I'd recommend staying away from a Class D mono amp like the nine.1

I have this amp pushing two idmax's....it puts out closer to 1400 watts at 14V. More than enough power and it can handle that load all day without even getting warm.

Well I know that...

I was talking about ED amps in general. I also know they are made by Value Electronics. Is the amp good for SQ? I'm talking about the 4 channels and the 2 channels. I'm sorry to thread hijack, but I would like an honest opinion of their quality.
