eD Nine.1 Power hungry?

OK so i have an avionixx cxd 2800m which according to eD is literally the replacement for the 9.1. my question is did\does the 9.1 require a lot of power and a lot of electrical to get rated power from it?

I have ran the nine.1 on stock electrical in a Scion tc and an Infiniti G35 along with a 4 channel amp and never had any issues
