they have decent SPL but there are much better drivers suited for that.... the RE SE for example. I owned 3 12k's and was very happy with them but if you want strictly SPL go elsewhere. If you want great SQ and decent SPL then the K is for you.

If SPL is your goal I would definitley look at http://www.respl.com

http://www.stereointegrity.com has the Magnum d2 (which is what I currently run) which has AMAZING SPL and SQ. It is by far the best subwoofer I have EVER heard.

would 2 ED Kx 10" subs in a sealed box be louder at 225w each.. or a single vented RE SE 10" at 450w...

and if i get the RE SE i may consider getting a jbl 600.1 instead unless there is another amp that would put 600w into the RE SE for under $185 + shipping

edit: how would hte SQ compare between the two as well as the SPL

My pic would be a single RE SE 12 or 15....drop it in bout 3 cubes ported @ 30hz and use a jbl 600.1 for the amp...it's wang. peace

^^^^^^^^ my choice also... i run a single se 15 in 4.5 cu tuned to 35hz and man..it wangs like no other ..... well there are others...but not for the money...the 15 se will definetly get loud than a pair k 12's or kx 10's.... if don't right.. i also ran a jbl 600.1 to my se 15 and it pushed that boy great..i wasn't especially happy with the amp itself...but it did put out its rated power

EDIT the sq will also be very nice on the se if properly installed....but the k's will probably have at least equal sq...but i would never say that i was dissapointed with my se's sq
