eD Joins with DLS!

Sorry... but why does eveyone hate ED so much?
There is obviously something that this Ben fella did to piss some people off?

Can anyone explain in a quick manner?
LOL it isn't quick.

he takes preorders on items he knows he'll never get out and it's always some supplier in asia who ****ed up

He screwed over some trusted people in the car audio world

he had a batch of bad ED a's that he lied about and shipped to customers

it goes on from there

 
i wouldn't take the risk...

its all good and dandy when things go well, and when they don't, which actually happends often, you're f#cked one way or another...

its either going to be a waste of your time, patience, money, ###

the products are decent, and maybe not all the people there are bad or have bad moral, but it seems to me like somewhere at the head of the corporate structure, theres someone without much morals driving the wheels...kinda like ford saying f#ck it to the pinto and said let it burn cus it'll be cheaper to pay people for lawsuits then to recall them back...

 
I bet you'll hear it on the forums first...So what happens when DLS has an item backordered out of their distribution in FL(it happens) and ED still receive payment on an online purchase? And the orders pile on....it can get ugly....

While an order may be accepted for a backordered product, that product will be listed as backordered online.

No cards are charged UNTIL an item ships, or is being constructed as would be the case with a custom enclosure. Period.

If someone chooses to purchase something that is not in stock and uses Paypal or Check/Money Order, it is the customers choice to send money prior to shipment, not ours.

Since I have been here(2 years now) I have never charged a cc before shipment, and I do all the charging now.

I can not speak on prior to my arrival, but that's how it's worked the last 2 years.

i don't know you personally mandos but from the way you take things and carry yourself on ca.com, you seem like a decent guy...who knows, from all the stuff i've been through with eD, its been shaky, but who knows, if things flow nicely into the future, i may purchase something in the future, but as of now, i'm definitely thinking twice...

not just to eD but to the rest of the business world as well, it costs 6 times to get a new customer then keep a current customer, if you don't take care of your current customers, its going to be the opposit snow ball effect you'd want...

I completely understand where you're coming from. A lot of stuff has been posted about things that happened in the past here. There's really nothing I can do to remedy a situation from before I worked here, the world just doesn't work like that.

I actually came from Amazon.com and tried to bring a lot of the philosophies about how customers should be treated over to here. I haven't really heard things about customers getting screwed over in the last couple years, so it must be doing some good.
