Economical solution for IPod compability w/ Good SQ?

Hey guys, im back in the market for a HU. I really want something that's my IPod can work with - but i really don't want to sacrifice significan sound quality. Right now i have an old JVC KDG300. really shitty but i've been able to live with loud mode. Right now I have 12' Type R with a small alpine mrd450.

are there any economical solutions that are preferbly >150-200?

See if you can get an Alpine 9856... full speed iPod FTW

Yeah, I have a 9856, got it for $189 from crutchfield, add $30 for the cable and your good to go. Sounds great, and controlls the I pod verry well.
