We need a birth fertility lottery.
one out of 1000 children born will be allowed to reproduce, the other 999 will be sterilized at birth in the hospital.

If you are lucky enough to be chosen as a winner, you can sell the reproduction right on the open market.

How would that work? Reproduction is the passing of one's genetic material to an offspring.

If you are sterilized, could you still pass the genetic material on?

I never said that I or we should decide who lives and/or who dies or who has the right to reproduce. But we should encourage people not to reproduce or interfere in the right to terminate a pregnancy.

The fundamental point is that there are too many people on this earth. People in 3rd world countries are having 7 + kids when they can’t even afford to feed the ones they already have.

China got it right, 30 + years ago they had 1 billion people and a stagnant economy and food production. Since then they have been able to manage population growth and increased food and economic production under a controlled market system.

You can cry all you want about the your feelings of human rights but the fact is as populations rise the rights of the individuals will be taken away.

Anyways there is too many pros and cons to list. In the long run it is good for the planet, in the short run you jsut killed billions of people.

I guess its good that the the many of the places that have the outrageous population numbers also believe in gender based abortion. This is doing more for population control than any government based program. You got places with like 3 to 1 male to female ratios.

Overpopulation is real, but only in a few areas. In the United States if it wasn't for immigration there would be negative population growth. Some parts of the world just skew the stats.
