If the 8102 is the similar to the 881XX series (commonly referred to as the "aluminums"), then it was based on the TC7

The 8102 uses a 3" Coil, and all the other stuff I listed. The motor looks bigger than the TC-7, but that may just be the way the TC-7 is put together. This is one of the "Aluminums". It was the line under the Titanium series.

TC2+ is 2"

TC9 is also 3"

The TC7 looks like a large TC2+, it doesnt look like a TC9, not as wide.

man, I wish I could find a pair of these subs somewhere. the new 8200 series are far too expensive for me, anything less will move a considerable amount less air and possibly have less impressive sq.

so, any suggestions since I want a pair of 12's and can't find another 8122dvc?

How much are you looking to spend ?

Like I said before....if you want to stick with an Eclipse-like product, TC Sounds builds for many other manufacturers, some of which might offer a comparable or better product for around the same price.

hoping to keep it under $200 although now I might just keep the 8122 and throw it in around 2 cubes sealed. being that people don't realize these aren't $60 subs it didn't sell on ebay so the guy with a pair for $300 is nuts.

I tried telling the guy to part it out and get closer to 300 out of it but he told me "that's nice... I'm not breaking this stuff" I think he meant he wouldn't break it up but maybe he'll change his mind when he gets no bids.

I'd like to try those tc2's supa_c but I love how the eclipse sounds and really wish I could find another so I might just be patient and hope another affordable one pops up. I should've bought the pair that was for sale on here a couple months ago.

You could always pick up a TC7 and trade your used 8122 for my BNIB 8102. The 8102 and the TC7 are the same sub.
