Eclipse VS Alpine--> which one??

im looking to buy one of these two decks.. im looking at the alpine 9853 or the eclipse 5435 or 8445 (which ever is closer to $350) so what do you guys think?? thanks for your help..

I would buy the eclipse... Unless you are worried about getting your stuff stolen, then the non-detachable face would be a problem for you.

You can find gently preowned Eclipse 8053's in that price range, incase that interests you at all.

Arite Its Been A Couple Of Months And I Got A Used 8454. Paid $150 For It.. Its Awsome, I just Dont have the manual to get into more advanced features..

i would go with the 9853 over the 5435, but between the 8445 and the 9853, its whatever you prefer. i am happier with my 9853 that i have at the moment, it kind doesnt belong to me, than i was with my 05 model eclipses.

thats an awesome deal. thats pretty freakn cheap for a 8454. usually they go for upwards of $400. usually around $300. but for $150, nice deal. also how are you using your HU? passive or active setup? if passive then you really don't need to go into pro mode unless you have your passive setup biamped. if active i believe you must go into pro mode. i believe to go into pro mode for my 8455 is by holding the sound button for more than 5 seconds or something. i could double check my manual but i do have an 8455. if you have questions feel free to ask.

that 8545 is a really nice unit. you may be able to find a dl the pdf floating around on the net.

if u dont have problem with detachable face.... go with ECLIPSE
