the eclipse does not have a detachable face plate. thats why i switched to the kenwood. i was in the same boat. Well, listen to systems with one deck and then the other. I felt that the eclipse had more of an "sq" edge but the kenwood was just a tad behind imo.

why do you need detachable face? if you buy authorize doesn't eclipse garuntee your deck won't get stolen? i would never trade my eclipse for any other brand of deck. maybe an RF 8250 but that would be it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've heard some guys using half of a face case over their Eclipse's as a getto theft deterrant. Put it this way, if they want your deck they will get it....and Eclipse decks are useless with the ESN activated. But hey, do what you gotta do I guess.
